We have partnered with Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Inc. and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to establish a new company in preparation for the launch of a new digital bank.
We are currently seeking candidates for the position of QA Engineer as part of this initiative.

※ This position involves employment with Money Forward, Inc., and a secondment to the new company (SMBC Money Forward Bank Preparatory Corporation). The evaluation system and employee benefits will follow the policies of Money Forward, Inc.
Required Skills
- QA or development experience (3+ years)
- Experience in formulating software development processes or QA processes
- Holder of ISTQB (including JSTQB) Foundation Level certification or equivalent knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in information processing or computer science
- Interest in communication within a global development environment, as development is conducted jointly with overseas locations, and English will be used in work situations
Preferred Skills
- Experience in AI development or using AI tools for development. As announced in Money Forward AI Vision 2025, we are working on improving operational efficiency using AI and plan to introduce AI agents in all products in the future
- Unique Experience Gained
- Lead collaborative development, design reviews, and post-mortems with our international teams.
- Define quality governance specific to the banking domain, including formalizing release criteria, severity definitions (Sev1-3), traceability requirements, and audit readiness protocols.

Main Responsibilities
As a QA Engineer, our goal is to shape the future of digital banking in Japan, making it more user-friendly and accessible than ever before.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and establishing development and quality assurance processes to ensure quality assurance measures.
Design and manage the QA process integrated with our CI/CD pipeline.
Planning test strategies, reporting defects, and making release decisions
Planning, creating, and executing test cases for functional and non-functional requirements
Facilitate consensus and strong alignment across key stakeholders (PdM, Development, SRE, Security, Operations, and Legal).
