As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team that directly contributes to these services—designing and operating the systems behind them, building features based on user insights, and ensuring engineering excellence in both product and process.
Primary Responsibilities
Designing, developing, and operating our web services (supporting products such as LANGAKU and internal platforms like MANTRA ENGINE).
Managing an engineering team of about five members, fostering growth and collaboration.
Building and managing development roadmaps aligned with business strategies and goals.
Improving development processes and eliminating technical debt to enhance productivity.
Extracting user issues and considering feature specifications based on user interviews and data analysis.
Leading projects where development is the primary focus (e.g., client discussions to design APIs).
Basic Qualifications
Proven experience (3+ years) in leading a team of engineers.
Experience in designing backend APIs and database schemas for commercial services at scale.
Hands-on experience in implementing web services from frontend to backend.
Involvement in team development from the service specification stage.
Japanese language skill (JLPT N2+).
