Background

To strategically advance our "one of Japan's largest advertising platform" from a technical perspective, we aim to refresh our development environment and reform our product structure.

To achieve this, we need a Senior Engineering Manager to develop specific roadmaps and strategies based on technical perspectives, and to manage the organization.

Responsibilities

Overall responsibilities for product strategy formulation and execution from an engineering perspective
Business and technical perspective for business promotion
Bridging business strategy and engineering
Building data infrastructure and ad delivery control systems to support massive transactions
Improving and developing large legacy products with numerous customers from a development efficiency perspective
Creating an environment that maximizes team performance
Overall responsibilities for formulating and executing mid- to long-term organizational strategies
System design/organizational design (evaluation systems and career development for development teams)
Planning and execution of initiatives to improve product quality
Maximizing results and providing education and training for engineering team members
Implementing initiatives to enhance the motivation of the development team
Optimizing development processes and team building according to the product and project
Developing talent including source code reviews and mentoring for junior members
Selecting technologies such as languages, development environments, and tools with a long-term perspective at the start of product development

Developing products that handle massive traffic and fast processing, displaying ads at approximately 30 billion impressions per day, totaling 90 billion impressions per month, with each ad displayed in 100 ms

Experience in server-side construction and programming
Knowledge of web communications and domains
Experience in managing a development organization
Experience in formulating technical strategies

Experience working in the ad technology or related fields
Experience with C++ or other programming languages
Experience in production, direction, and development in the web and smartphone domains
Comfortable with reading, writing, and communicating in English
