Required Skills
- Cloud migration of existing systems and construction of hybrid environments with on-premises integration
- Construction and improvement of CI/CD pipelines for automation and efficiency of development processes
- System monitoring, performance tuning, and implementation of security measures
- Infrastructure cost optimization and management
- Rapid response to failures, root cause analysis, and formulation of recurrence prevention measures
- Research and verification of latest technologies and knowledge sharing with the team
- Team Structure
- Approximately 65 members are part of the development organization. Development is divided into the following groups:
- Client Solution Development
- In-house AI SaaS Development
- Common Infrastructure Development (Infra / Data / AI R&D)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields
- Experience in system design, construction, and operation in Linux environments
- Design, construction, and operation experience on at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience in design, construction, and operation of container orchestration environments using Kubernetes
- Deep knowledge and practical experience with container technologies (Docker, etc.)
- Basic knowledge and practical experience in networking and security
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
- High security awareness and ability to design and operate secure infrastructure
Preferred Skills
- Design, construction, and operation experience on two or more cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Infrastructure design, construction, and operation experience in on-premises environments
- Experience in system migration projects from on-premises to cloud environments
- Experience in infrastructure design, construction, and operation for large-scale services
- Experience in design, construction, and operation of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.)
- Experience providing solutions for enterprise customers
- Tech Stack
- Languages: Python (for framework development), TypeScript / React / Next.js (for frontend development)
- Infrastructure: GCP (containers / Kubernetes), Docker
- Tools: Slack, Confluence, Linear, Google Workspace, GitHub
- Work Environment: Mac (Apple Silicon), dual monitors available
- Learning and Development Support
- AI Tool Usage Support:
- Company covers the cost of using AI tools such as JAPAN AI SaaS services, Curosor, CharGPT, Claude, etc.
- Development Tool Support:
- If a desired development tool is paid, the cost is covered (up to 30,000 yen per year)
- Book Purchase Assistance:
- Company covers the cost of purchasing books for learning, such as technical books (up to 30,000 yen per half-year)
- Language Learning / Qualification Support:
- Company covers the cost of Japanese or English learning programs and qualification acquisition
- Refresh Allowance:
- Company covers the cost of services used for personal refreshment (up to 5,000 yen per month)
- e.g., gym, yoga, chiropractic, aquarium, movies, theme park tickets, etc.
- Housing Allowance:
- Housing allowance provided for those living in designated areas (up to 30,000 yen per month)

- Hybrid Work: 3 days in office, 2 days remote

Additional Information
This position will initially be hired by Geniee, Inc. and then seconded to JAPAN AI, Inc. (both companies share the same location and workplace).
There is a possibility of transferring to JAPAN AI, Inc. in the future.

Position
Data Engineer
You will lead the design, construction, and operation of optimized individual infrastructure environments for enterprise customers. Specifically, we expect you to promote containerization and portability of existing environments and lead the migration to cloud-native architecture centered on Kubernetes. We aim for you to build robust infrastructure foundations considering security and contribute to improving the technical capabilities of the entire solution team.
